Old Convertible Options

    Just looking for some advice, looking for an older convertible car, and wondering what options would people recommend.

    I started off looking for a Saab 93, I had one many years ago, but sold it and always regretted it. When looking I found the convertible and started to look at options based on that but mate said I was crazy and should go for Merc/BMW

    No real budget, just planning on a couple of k, the car will be used just for weekend etc and something different from the normal car for works etc.

    I don't mind doing some work etc but looking for advice on what to look for etc. Any recommendations
