I've a few friends coming over from the UK and they have a few rounds of golf booked throughout their stay. One of them is at Castlecomer and it's a course that they're not familiar with (neither am I). Anybody on here familiar with it? is it a decent track?

Very nice course, will be in great condition now, it's probably the hardest course in Kilkenny in my opinion, especially the opening 6 holes, but after that it opens out a bit and is a little bit more forgiving.

Also it does have a few hills so a buggy might be a help as well.

Cheers for that Morris. The lads are all single digit players so they might be delighted to hear its a challenging course, the hills I'm not so sure about 🤣! ill pass on the info anyway.

I make sure I play it a couple of times a year! Its a real hidden Gem and there is some stunning holes Plus a tough track yes but not long, positioning of Tee is vital on some holes. But its a very enjoyable course and one of my favourites.

played it once years ago. don't remember much of it tbh except needing a sit down after the uphill walk to the first tee!!!
