I've rarely had to use it (touch wood) but I quite like the simplicity of some of the dynaplug options. You have a dart pre loaded that you just push into the tire.
With some others I've found that the worm type rubber things are too big for a road tire, and they also tend to get a bit sticky in storage and won't work after a few months
