You think? Assuming these cars depreciate 10-20% (€5k-€10k) per full year at the beginning, you don’t think even €1.5k differential for the half year?

Obviously the longer you keep, the less difference it’ll make but in the short term (under 2/3 years) I’d have thought it would make at least that difference if not more. Haven’t ever seen any stats on the half year reg impact on value though.

yeah looking around - have yet to check my local CU but anyone from Athenry area your CU is doing EV loans at 3.8% - brilliant!!

Possible minor differential when the car is less than 2 years old perhaps but beyond that the trade doesn’t seem to really differentiate. If you pay a few quid, you can get a sales listing from Merlin Auctions. This might provide some indicative stats.

Just to add my name to the list .... had collection date (and transport arranged) for Monday 12th (Blue M3), and received the "due to logistical reasons...." text, and had the collection date brought forward to next Tuesday (6th). However logged into account and no timeslots available!!!

Just got the Tesla SMS. Nearest collection date is now June 22nd. My date was pushed back as most others were pushed forward. Very strange

Rescheduled to June 6th. no reg. Are they open today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8 dsd22

For those who are being rescheduled due to ‘port delays’, is this just M3 orders?

Sounding like this ongoing registration problem is still unresolved…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,200 ✭✭✭deadl0ck

Can they apply for a reg through some online system that allocates them automatically?

Or do the people in the reg office need to be in?

Basically can they do the regs over the weekend or will they have to wait till Tuesday after the bank holiday?

If they have to wait till Tuesday it'll be a total mess with all the people with no regs trying to collect on Tuesday and all looking for a reg for insurance

I believe that there is a dealer’s registration portal online where vehicles are registered, VRT is paid and number plates issued, then they are printed by the dealer and attached to the car for pickup.

The problem that seems to have been ongoing for a very long time now, I understand (could be wrong but seems to be the consistent story), is that for M3’s, VRT is calculating incorrectly on this portal and cars are unable to be registered.

This then means each one has to be flagged and processed manually with Revenue.

I’d take the ‘logistical issues’ with a huge pinch of salt here, this just seems a familiar pattern at this stage.

Has anyone been in Baldonell recently? Someone mentioned it’s rammed full of stock, and if there’s another shipment inbound it does ask the question where all of these are going to be stored?

Mine is a M3 RWD and I think they don't have revenue issues (or am I wrong?)

I’m still waiting on an M3 RWD too, original delivery date of 28th March 🙁

Since the price drop they have. It may be limited to particular combinations of spec.

I’ve heard all M3P’s will be Q3. Maybe a sign it will be the refresh model with HW4?

Tesla rep told me that most of those cars are going to a new pickup location near Cork.

Never know what to believe from Tesla anymore though

Just had a chat with Tesla rep via webchat - they told me that despite the SMS about delivery error, my car will not be ready for collection any date before 19th June. Not sure if that's just for me or wether I'm part of some batch. Just thought I'd let you all know!

I wonder what this is about! My car was scheduled for the 20th and now it’s on the 6th. Why would my car suddenly be ready before yours?

I’m still expecting a text on Monday to reschedule again, but who knows.
