If you're willing to pay for another colour and have €250 cash available to place another deposit I'd recommend giving it a shot. That way you keep your original order position and take a gamble at an earlier delivery date on a new order with a different colour.

Seems to be a reason behind that. Someone mentioned an issue with the VAT / VRT calculation in some original order agreements.

Thanks for the info - what upsets me the most (in spite of some people's wonderfully benign view) is I had a MY RWD W/black on order, happy out , no VIN, but confident it would be here before end June.

didn't get flash sale but did buy from inventory a blue RWD as a surprise for hubby (who wasn't delighted with white) purely because it was coming a bit early and it was going to be a nice surprise. It actually was going to cost more (for the upgraded colour) but gave peace of mind that it balanced out the risk of losing out on Eur1500 of the grant if there was going to any slippage on the original order

I took it all in absolute faith, cancelled my white/black order to allow someone else benefit, now I may get NO car and if I order now, I'll probably lose out part of the grant and pay more for a lower spec (Eur1,500 Vs Eur1,200) for the paint. That DOES matter. 😒

In hindsight, should have kept both orders but hey ho, no good deed goes unpunished!!

I have no confidence that the black will be delivered to be honest - have it from 14/01 - Apr-Jun estimation, Moving between Feb-Mar, Jun-Sep, now Apr-Jun. Wondering if I am meant to be ordering any permutations of configs to see if they are available?

If you ordered from inventory at full price €47,811 your order shouldn't have been cancelled. Did you reply to Kelly to explain and/or call Tesla?

I placed a brand new order for Blue MY RWD yesterday and got a delivery in the batch at the end of this month. There's still a chance a new order today will get the same delivery window or else come with the main delivery before the end of Q2.

i just got a Vin now ,originally ordered Black/black MYLR Jan 14th changed it to RWD march 1st as got impatient for vin. got VIN for black RWD with white seats March 27th.

Got additional firesale order blue RWD white seats March 28th .Stupidly cancelled the black /white RWD at that point which had vin Then my blue/white RWD from firesale got 🔥 by Kelly late last night.Immediately ordered a black /white RWD late night .no Vin with (April - June ) window .Just now edited design to MSM/ Black RWD and got a Vin within 5 minutes .

Advice -play around with edit design and leave each config for half an hour try MSM,blue ,black with varying seat colours and see if you can get a hit on a Vin on the current Irish batch .Got a feeling it could be a long wait till the next batch

Be proactive it's just an algorithm edit design at will

Thanks, full price orders are being cancelled also which is crushing. Trying to do a nice thing to now possibly have to turn around and say oh btw, with my "meddling", we may get no car before probably Sept!!

No it's free to "edit design"under an existing order where you have already paid the 250 euro.Most common colour for cars in Ireland are 1 Grey 2 Black 3 blue 4 white .Tesla will know this when producing a batch for Ireland so will likely load a lot of MSM/grey on the ship.Black is free so demand sky high seems slow to get a black vin in my experience .Blue is top 3 be less demand likely a lot on ship see a lot of blue model y on Tesla owners Ireland fb group etc so imho midnight silver ,blue RWD (probs black seats but can try white if no Vin)) may be possible for a Vin on current batch .I just got a VIN this hour for MSM /black RWD had no joy with Black/white RWD.Order was placed 2am this morning black/white Y RWD (as lost firesale) .waited till 6pm today no VIN edited design then to MSM/Black got VIN within 5 minutes. so much for the queue, order was placed today it's more about what spec matches the incoming shipments.

I’m guessing they’re either staying in the UK or will be diverted to the UK. They’ve no business bringing them here if they won’t get the grant. They’re obviously not willing to apply the dreaded “showroom discount”. A business might buy some non grant applicable stock but unlikely to be be significant numbers.

Only Tesla know that ,I would say they go back into a pool of available Irish cars on a server somewhere for allocation to the next Irish customers with that spec in the queue.with demand so high only unallocated cars will appear in inventory after they have landed in Dublin ie. the excess unsold or incomplete sales from the ships.The exception may be LR with paint /towbar etc which will likely be left in the UK as make no sense with the grant .RWD best shot for VIN in next few days. if Tesla have transport booked in advance for 2 ships to ireland they will likely have those ships as full as possible most likely with the popular RWD as huge demand in Ireland for it.

Nothing to lose,if ur original spec was on the next shipment you would be matched already.could try lots of combinations half an hour each eg blue/white blue /black grey/white grey /black white/white etc

I have asked them to pause my M3 order until Tesla Vision is as good as the USS sensors its replaces.

Its not helped by the carry on over the last few days, whatevery about cancelling the fire sales orders but cancelling the others as well is a bit unfortunate.
