I notice these times guys either shave or get waxed in personal area, was never a phenomenon years ago. I can’t imagine how painful waxing must be, I always use hair removal cream, but of course it grows back quickly.

    I tried this.

Long term I found it more painful than waxing cause it can leave some decent burns.

And I didn't find it particularly effective.

My first in clinic waxing was decently painful but they used low quality wax and inefficient methods.

I'm still working out the details but I feel confident I can get a good combination of in-clinic and at home treatments to be presentable.

In relation to historical male grooming tendencies - it's development of awareness; dudes have always had notions of themselves being Casanova or having porn star potential, but if you want to legitimately play in those leagues, basically got to put in similar time/effort that women put in to looking hot, being confident in their presentation and appearance, attention to detail, etc etc.

The aspects of refinement that catch attention, turn heads.

Got this done properly for the first time today.

Firstly, there is NO COMPARISON between a clinic who does a poor job of waxing, and a clinic who has refined their craft and does it correctly.

Secondly, over the the past few times of trying to do this myself with at-home wax, I seem to have left big red blotches or scars around the groin area that have been there for literally weeks now.

Last occasion I used the chemist wax and it was unholy painful, and after those red blotches emerged and haven't faded.

Is this normal and should they fade?

I'm actually concerned I may have scarred myself?

    ........

Thirdly, getting it properly professionally done at a high level clinic, there was literally no spots left, no blotches, some redness which faded quickly and minimal post-treatment pain.

The results are also incomparable where quality wax and correct technique is used.

To be perfectly honest, the first wax therapist was like trying to play this "politically correct" act or something, messing about like she needed a tongs to move my gear about, her technique was hyper painful and she left so much hair.

The excellent job I had done earlier, the therapist simply handled everything expertly, flawless results.

So main two questions I'm left with

    1) could I have left permanent scarring/marking from having tried to do at-home waxing myself? Or should those red marks on the skin fade?

    2) Doing this properly in a clinic as I've realized it should be done, will amount to a tidy little additional monthly bill.

Do some people actually religiously get their waxing done in spite of this?
