Oh it's eyewateringly beautiful! Do it sometime! (and treat yourself to a night in Ballynahinch Castle while you're at it!)

    Nice name for the café.

Amdublin and Francis were right about the café ;)

I wonder was the first bit filmed last year (given that John was in it). Then the revisit was filmed this year?

Though they said that this was three months later? But I do be so busy typing that I miss half the programmes!

    Fair play to Warren.
    He'll do well I think.

Too short :( Program too short :(

    He'll go far.

Couldn't have been more different from last week's venture if they tried.

There's something very rushed and deeply unsatisfying about this series - I'd need to see some of the older ones but I'm sure they used to give more time to the projects and renovations..... were the episodes ever an hour long?

Seems to be very glib and superficial this time around.

Everything about this programme was so positive. Fáilte Ireland should be a sponsor!

Warning to anyone visiting Kylemore abbey, there is a permanent raincloud parked over the place! It never stops raining there...

He was such a nice guy, it was good to see things going well for him.

I've camped in Curraghchase half a dozen times, around 20 years ago, but back then facilities were thin on the ground. The addition of the cafe will improve things.

I'll echo another poster, didn't At Your Service used to be 1 hour long? AN hour on RTE so ~45 minutes of actual content. It does feel very short.

Yuumy it's been years since I eat in the mustard seed but its fabulous.

I've never been to Clare only passed through but I intend to remedy that this summer

Why didn't they remove stools and seats before demolition! They'll never get clean :)

I liked her spotty Brown dress and boots

First ep in a long time where they've done a proper turnaround not just fiddling with trivial stuff or giving free promotion...

Yes there was such a transformation in the place and a good job of it done too.

Thought the place looked great, apart from the chairs in the restaurant!

Yer man was dead right about needing new ones - the pine just screamed out from the new colour scheme (which was lovely). I know budget dictated that, but they need to be saving up for new ones, sharpish!

Other than that the place looked great.

How on earth did they get away with doing the work at night? Do they have no neighbours???

The editing in this series is really annoying me - it's so clunky and feels terribly rushed.

I wondered about the wisdom of doing all the work at night too - surely it would have made more sense to close shop on a Monday and Tuesday one week and get it all done and dusted?! How much money can a business actually make on the quiet days in April?! But fair play, they got it all done and it looks fantastic.
My mum heard a radio interview with the lady, Nuala, and commented that she seemed genuinely taken with Francis and the quality of his suggestions and support. You could see the great rapport between the two of them on the show.

She had a fantastic attitude alright - hope they do well out of the whole revamp.

And fair play for the plaque to Francis in the doorway - I never thought I'd see it but he seemed genuinely stunned into (well, almost) silence by it - a stroke of genius on their part :D

Francis made a good point about "Teach Ui Bhriain" being a challenge for visitors/ anyone who hasn't done a bit of Irish.

I don't like these Restaurant 'experts' going around telling Chefs to provide smaller portions - nothing worse than going home still hungry after paying good money for your dinner! :)

    Looked like a nice restaurant.
