Triton as2000xt stopped working, no sound.

We have Triton as2000xt power shower. For the past few months it started to get worst and now it completely died. The water pressure was ever so slightly changing. It always had this loud constant noise when on, but lately the sound was often slowing down or "spinning" - when you turned it off you could hear a moving part stopping. After some research online I assume it's the motor - am I correct? This costs 85 euro which is pricey, but still cheaper than buying and fitting a new shower. If someone could advise, I would appreciate it. As a work around we are using shower from bathtub mixer tap, but that has its own problems which I described in another thread seeking help. Thanks!

Hi we had the exact same model which gave up last week after only 4 years. It kept tripping the power and had all checked but the unit was fecked.

We didn't want to risk trying parts as it's in a disabled bathroom so we fitted the Triton Novel SR.

If shower is 4 or 5 years old then it might be worth buying a new motor. Over 5 years then new shower is better value. As mentioned above the triton novel SR is the replacement.

You can still get new motors for the AS2000XT. Problem is you won't have much change out of €100 to buy the motor & fit yourself. You won't have much change out of €200 to have a new motor supplied & fitted.

Part required is Triton AS2000/Aquatronic Pump And Motor Assembly – 84000130

You'll get a Triton Novel SR Silent running thermostatic power shower replacement for around €450 supplied & fitted
