Is IT something to do with shorting a stock?

I first heard this phrase in a girls school,

I remember hearing the phrase with drinking from my "Star Wars" Beaker, and for some reason Frank Sinatras song "Nothing! B U T, the best." playing on the WAY in the CAR!

I think "IT" means a capital "I" fronting a cross ?
