With modern engines so dependent on electronics, ecu etc etc. is it OK to disconnect the battery, same battery to be re fitted later. The vehicle is a 2019 VW T6 Transporter.

    Thanks.

There's no big deal about disconnecting batteries. The official advice would be to remove keys, close doors & wait 5 minutes or until the dash display goes off. Long enough to allow all the ECUs to shut down by themselves.

Should be no problem. Do check the handbook though as it will give the correct sequence of reconnecting so there are no probs with radio code etc
