New but mismatched tyres.

Got 4 new tyres from a local place on Thursday, first time using the tyre place.

Ordered 4 hankook ventus prime (just what was on it previously)

Looking at them today and I appear to have 3 hankook eco 2 and one ventus prime.

I should have checked before leaving but I didn't think...

Sorry for the utterly n00bish question but is there any problem that the tyres don't match perfectly? I haven't looked at the thread pattern or anything yet.

Best practice is always to keep the same model of tyre at least on the same axel. So if they had put 2 x eco 2 on one axel and 2 x ventus prime on the other then it wouldn't bother me. But one odd one while probably won't make a huge difference to the car, I'd still go back and ask for what you ordered or at least replace the odd one with the same as the rest.

Did you specifically ask for Ventus Prime? Ventus Prime are far superior and I think they are quite a bit more expensive so I would definitely request that you get four Ventus Prime if that’s what you’ve paid for/asked for.

Obviously its easier to just replace the one Ventus Prime but if your car is high powered or you do lots of hard driving you may notice the difference. Ventus Prime are a more high performance tyre.

I rented a car recently tyres was different makes on it and could definitely feel different grip leaves .it shows it can be pretty dangerous having different tyres on car (normal driving would feel no difference but as it was rental it was driven pretty hard in emergency braking manoeuvring it was squirming under hard braking.it show me better off having same tyres on car
