stone stuck in chimney

hi advice needed.

I've a old house where a stone has fallen down and its stuck. I tried a inspection camera with led lights (from amazon) but it kinda kept going along the side(so camera picture not clear etc),

how would I get a stone out if its 3-4meters up the chimney? is there a suction option outthere or something else without opening wall.?

Did you try shoving it with a chimney brush?

How big is the chimney? Our "old stone house" has a 4 ft wide chimney so would need a big stone to block it.

Plus are you sure its a stone, some old chimneys would have an iron bar going across to hang pots off and others would have a way of shutting the chimney off when not in use.

thanks it's a 250 Yr old house. I believe the chimney was lined back in the mid 80s but where the chimney narrows there is a small shelf before it turns down to a fireplace... the missus said she heard what sounded like a large stone falling down and the draft since had being poor so it does seem like something is stuck up there

...it's at a awkward location but once she gives permission I will ram the rod back up to see if something other then lots of sut comes down...

was thinking of attaching a camera to a rod head will a light also to see if I can see what it is ..

Why bother with a camera? Put the rods up, the brush should shift it.

Birds nest would also block it.

Chimney lined in mid 80's - shudders.

Brushes first then try the camera on them to see how good a job you've done.
