Back to the Future 3 - Paradox (Head scratcher)

Could have posted this in Films, but it's just a bit of fun. Anyways there is a TikTok video going around saying that from a plot aspect BTTF3 should have only been 30 minutes long! lol.

The story goes Doc Brown is sent back to 1885 and the time circuits are blown. He buries the DeLorean in an abandoned mine with instructions for his 1955 counter part to fix the time circuits so Marty in 1955 can go home. Of course Marty goes back to 1885 as Doc got killed shortly after sending his letter in 1885. Yadda yadda.

When Marty goes back to 1885 his version of the DeLorean is shot by arrows in the gas tank. No gas. No getting up to 88mph. Here is the paradox: what was stopping 1885 Doc Brown from taking the gas, and other parts if needed from the DeLorean he buried and then go home with Marty. As the 1955 doc brown counter-part could have fixed that stuff for Marty to go back to 1885.

Paradox? a plot hole? timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff?

That would have risked creating a new branched timeline like what happened in BTTF2. The Delorean Marty found in 1955 had the gas and an undamaged gas tank etc, so they had to leave it as was.
