    Hi all,


    I'm currently looking at a house on 12 acres. The house is pretty dilapidated and most of the property value is in the land.


    My mortgage broker is telling that banks will only mortgage the house and 1.5 acres, the rest will need to be bought separately.


    Has anyone mortgaged an entire property of more than 1.5 acres, who did you use and what was the process??
