Sold my car to a garage, what's next?

First time selling a car. I handed over keys and logbook to the garage and they said they'll handle the rest. This is a big franchise. How can i prove the car is no longer mine if I need?What if someone get traffic ticket and I am held responsible?

Normally if you look on Motortax.ie at the Change Of Vehicle Ownership page it will show as being traded in to dealer instead of ownership change.

I managed to get some kind of sales agreement after asking them several times. Overall process seemed odd to me as sellers depend on garage owner's good act

You are sound so.

There is an element of trust involved but if the dealer is established the system works pretty well.

Seeing as you have dated documentation you will be ok.
