Heathrow Delayed/Lost Luggage

So our checked bags never made it through our connection through Heathrow…

A week later and we’re back in Dublin with still no sign of our bags. The Virgin tracking system still says “tracing continues”.

Has anyone been through this in Heathrow recently and got their bags back?

Also. If it’s declared “irretrievably lost” after the 21 days will they completely stop looking or could we still get them back eventually?

The 21 days is after which you can make a claim.

So you got it 12 days after you arrived back home or when you landed initially wherever you were going?

Were you able to claim compensation for everything you bought cause of the delayed bags?

after I got home. (Flying emirates via Heathrow, Aer Lingus for the London to Dublin leg)) I got zero compensation (yet), I couldn’t get in touch with anyone from Aer Lingus. The form I filled up says they’ll get in touch within 14 working days.

I did submit about €400 worth of receipts for new work clothes as mine were in the case snd I had to replace them. So let’s see what they say
