Don't you think it's about time David Coverdale shuffled off the stage for good. The man can hardly walk let alone hit a high note any longer. It's pathetic to see him "croak" his way through performances given that he was once the finest rock vocalist of his generation but that was many decades ago.

Did you buy the super deluxe box sets of Slide It In, Slip Of The Tongue and 1987? The latter set was great.

I loved them years ago. I think it's really sad when they can't let go of the limelight, still performing when they are clearly past it.

Saw them back in 2009 with Journey and Def Leppard. He could still do it then.

I think Ian Gillan blew him off the stage basically, a much better vocalist.

I had a good giggle at the ‘David Coverdale the finest rock vocalist of his generation.’ He wasn’t even the best singer in Deep Purple.

To be fair to the bloke, he was probably the finest rock vocalist who was in a few videos with Tawny Kitean back in 87 or so.

Mind you, Coverdale, even as he is today, could still wipe the floor with Joe Elliott who was never even half-decent to begin with - just always atrocious.

Not a bad track, but still not seeing the 'greatest rock vocalist of his generation', given his generation included Gary Moore, Phil Lynott and at a push Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant (ok the latter two were older but not a generation older).

I agree Joe Elliott is nothing special as a vocalist, but Animal and Pyromania are fine albums. Nothing they did post-Clark has interested me.
