Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Returning to trade after long absence

    Hi,

I was a fully qualified electrician for 10 years and I had to seek a new career in 2008 due little work at the time.

I am 40 now and in the accounting sector with a steady job, albeit underwhelming in income. But I have this incredible urge to get back into the trade.

Has anyone else done this and able to guide me on how I would go about it? I have booked a manual handling and safe pass course. Is there any refresher course that would be of use to employers?

Is 15 years too long out of the game?

    Thanks
