Can anyone tell me the best way to get in and out of Marley Park concerts ?

Ive been before and had to walk miles and miles before I could get a taxi home. Ridiculous

Ive read and car parking is €25 euro and extremely limited

Taxi out is impossible

Any ideas ???

Cycle. Handiest way around. Can have a few drinks as well. Bring a good lock.

id happily cycle but not going to be able to convince others to do the same unfortunately

My gf refunded her ticket's for Fall out boy due to the hassle of getting in and out of Marley park.

Luas + walk also an option. Get off at Dundrum luas stop and wall 3km to Marley Park.

Think the luas is probably the least hassle. Could use the park and ride and get the luas to Balally

Travelling up for the gig, and have a hotel booked in Tallaght (was closest one available).

Will the 75/175 bus be running after the gig does anyone know? I presume Taxi's are going to be like gold dust - so otherwise if the bus isn't running is a 2 hour walk my only option?

Getting the Marathon bus from Custom House Quay. It was the best option due to the proximity of the stop to my hotel. Never used Marathon before, hopefully it goes well. Will hopefully be there by 6 as I want to catch Weezer. Not too pushed about Fall Out Boy but Weezer seem to be on before them going by accounts of other dates on the tour.

Is there are place to park a car within even 2-3 Km of Marlay Park? Not sure I fancy parking in the official one due to inevitable hours of delays getting out? Any free public parking that people know of even in a 2km radius?? Cheers!

Loads of parking. Marlay Park is practically on the border of the edge of Dublin and The Sticks. There are many housing estates surrounded by it. I'm sure you could park somewhere in hose. Depends on how far out they have cordoned off as a vehicle free area. Best bet is prob to park somewhere around Ballyboden, and then 20 min walk down Taylors Lane. The entrance used to be along Taylors Lane I think.

Not sure about the buses, maybe check with Go Ahead.

You have the option of walking to the Luas, heading into town and switching over to red Luas to Tallaght, though that would be coming close to two hours too!

Some of the entries on the below link have set start times. Weezer seemed to go on as 5:45 in the Netherlands. I imagine the start times in various venues are broadly similar. Running order seems to be Amyl and the Sniffers, Weezer, Fall Out Boy and Green Day.

I've noticed more with mcd they aren't great at sharing stage times for these kind of gigs, was the same with noel g in St anne's i just made a guess on times.

Im aiming to be there for 5 anyways just to be safe

Haven't been for a few years, but it used to be the junction beside the Eden Housepub, down to one of the junctions near Ballinteer GAA club. About 1km I'd say.

It's definitely open at the Circle K on Taylor's lane about 15mins walk, so I'd say meet there if possible.

Ya they don’t seem to be. I'm leaving for the venue at around half 4. I haven't lived in Dublin for years and I'm not too familiar with that side of town. Will hopefully be there in and around 6 to catch the start of Weezer's set.
