With Stephen Donnelly suggesting masks may be mandated again and cases rising - shouldn't social welfare be going into peoples bank accounts again rather than going to post office ?

It won't happen, a decision has been made by the relevant minister to return all jobseekers payments to PO collection, why is a mystery but allegedly to prop up PO network and combat fraud 🙄

Currently all new claims , automatically PO collection only, Currently payments made into banks , gradually being moved to PO collection.

I personally think its absurd but I don't make the decisions 😏

Thanks Dempo, yes it really is absurd as the lady that works in my post office is concerned about the rising numbers. It's not really fair on them and probably adds to their already stressful job - in addition to that post offices are doing banking too.

If you are concerned with covid go in morning off peak times. It’s a system that is working. Too much abuse with people not even in the state drawing.

That's true
