Successful first year of this new competition which is something the Tommy Murphy didn't have. 3 to 5 years will provide a full judgement on it but a good start is half the battle.

As for Westmeath,Cavan both should be aiming to get back to Div 2 for 2024, no excuse not to be best two in Div 3 next spring.

there a bit strange in Mullinga,r gone all multi cultural the last few years and all coffee shops and bistros rather then lads leaning up against pub doors with fags in the mouth 😂

its brilliant to see , this competition needs this and they are fantastic supporters fair play to them , they had a couple of excellent footballers play for them from ethnic backgrounds over the last few years and shocase what a new ireland looks like well done westmeath!!

Congrats to Westmeath on their win.Was a very good game of football with good spells of accurate kick passing and score taking.Plenty of talented footballers in lower two Divisions and only right they now have a far more realistic route to getting to play in Croke Park in the Summer sun.

I can see teams building their Summer plans around the Tailteann Cup,especially if they get a really tough draw going into their respective Provincial Championships.
