What is the role of a SF online supporter?

What do people who sign up to this do? I think I have seen some of their work over on the Ireland sub on Reddit and it's not pretty, reminds me of the Russian troll farm strategy but it's really ratcheting up at the moment. The argument between Varadkar seems to have really riled them up. Do they get paid for patrolling social media and downvoting any anti-Sinn Fein posts or comments or is it just for the love of the party?

Given the massive funding SF has Id say they have a few people dealing with social media but overall I'd say its mainly volunteers.

I signed up with a burner email out of curiosity and it turns out these chumps actually pay Sinn Fein a subscription for the privilege. Once you pay up, you get contacted by a local organiser in your area. Here is the mail you receive. I didn't proceed any further. If you don't pay, they keep emailing you looking for the money.

No, as you can see if you read the mail you get contacted by your local area organiser so there's more to it than just an online membership. It seems rule no. 1 of Shinner club is you don't talk about Shinner club.

We saw what happened in the UK when Truss promised 40 bill. unsupported tax cuts.

Same will happen here when the Shinners get in.

havent investigated any of them, but politics is about effectively selling ideas, so theyre all full of sh1t in a way, theres no question sf are gonna struggle in government, so much so, they may not be even able to change much, and if their government is deemed a failure by the electorate, get ready for even bigger problems!

its clearly obvious ffg are in serious trouble, they have no answers to our most critical problems, and its clearly obvious, their polices are generally accelerating these issues, i.e. theyre done, for now anyway....

yup, pretty much so, most power no longer resides within our political institutions, hence why most are now starting to seriously struggle to deal with our most critical issues, it effectively doesnt truly matter whos in government due to this, but its clearly obvious established parties are in serious trouble. we re clearly at some sort of tipping point whereby enough are now starting to seriously struggle, and the policies of these established parties are accelerating these issues, hence the radicle outcomes in polls and elections, established parties are currently toast.

yup, reality is hitting, hence these radical outcomes, baring in mind, the Tories are pushing far more extreme polices, more so towards the right, and sf are tending to the left...

the reality is, we are all losing as it is, even those of us that are relatively comfortable, as i am myself, sf will be a radical change for ireland, but i truly fear if sf is deemed a failure, as the potential towards more extremes is highly likely!

i personally wouldnt worry about a sf government, i cant actually see them being able to change much....

I think you can put two and two together because a SF online 'combatant' won't give an answer as they continue the 'struggle' virtually. Wasn't there one SF virtual combatant with about 50 accounts uncovered by the mods in recent times?

I would say they do it for the love of the party because to them it is more than a party, it is a cause. People who feel they have a cause go above and beyond what the average person would do. But the denial, deflection and obfuscation has to be well practiced with no deviation from the official party line, as I assume there would be trouble for that individual.

I don't think SF would hide the fact they have an outstanding 'cause' that the other main establishment parties once had themselves. I.E. You won't have to pay a membership fee to find that out about them.

There was a vociferously pro government account holder finally banned here recently. Had re-reged 5 or 6 times that could be identified and was even boasting about it on Reddit. The poster you refer to had 10 accounts, not your exaggerated figure.

well the fact our governments have been dominated by both ffg since the founding of the state, a sf government is a radical change for us, it ultimately starts there, again, because of this tipping point, a significant proportion of votes is now starting to occur to allow this to happen...

in regard polices, im not truly seeing any major radical polices being mentioned by sf, but i dont think that truly matters to many voters now, as we re now at that tipping point, similar to many other countries, i.e. established parties such as ffg are in serious trouble, they seem to be doubling down in regards their approaches, and it wont work, and electorates have had enough....

its gonna be interesting to see how sf do in government, but again, i cant actually see them being able to change much, many external factors need to be on their side, in order to truly try change things, but that may not happen...

...again my ultimate fear is if theyre deemed a failure, as i suspect we may lurch to the extremes, similar to other countries...

In answer to the OP I think the easier solution to find out is create a fake email and enquire about becoming a member of SF's social media team etc. Then you could end up being a 'sleeper' in their whatsapp groups etc (separate sim) if you play the long game, and are clever about it. I always assume someone in special branch is assigned to keep an eye on SF in general just in case.

Well, exactly. Truss was completely inexperienced and unqualified for the job, and look what happened. MLMD is the same, and I would say the same of the Cullinane, Doherty and O'Broin lads before you get the misogyny stick out.
