Summer dosing of lambs.

Bleating Lamb

Have bunch of lambs that were given Zerofen 2.5% as an initial worm dose to cover for Nematodirus etc.It’s a fenbendazole (White based) dose on 10th May.

They are around 12 weeks of age now,and around a third of them have fresh dirty ends at mo (Suffolk x) lambs.

Wondering should I give them another shot of Zerofen or change to a clear wormer this time around?

Clear dose is probably your best bet but be prepared for poor results, all the wormers are performing poorly on some farms around the country.

As you know suffolks are black at both ends and don't need to have worms to be dirty. only way to be sure they've worms is FEC test

Copper deficiency seems to be the big problem with suffolks being dirty
