    Hi Folks,

Apologies if this is not in the correct section on boards.

I'm working 1 day a week in the office in Dublin and I'm travelling up to Dublin on the train.

I'm looking to work on the train up to Dublin.

Would anyone know what dongle I should get e.g. Vodafone etc?

Sorry I'm a bit clueless about this

    Thanks

Is hotspot(tethering) from your phone insuficient? Your phone, if not anchient, most likely will have better hardware build-in for 4G reception than most of dongles.

The Wifi had been crap for years on the train, but they upgraded their AP's onboard. I haven't been on it in 2 years, but I found the onboard wifi was good enough for the vast majority of the work I was doing. Have you tried using it recently?

Their WiFi is still rubbish. Hotspot is ok on my phone(iPhone12) but I’m with GoMo aka Eir?

Have iPad 10.5 updated to latest and MacBook Pro 2019 same.

I came here looking for help on same thing.

Anyone any recommendations on supplier in that case?

    Mucho appreciated.

What type of work are you trying to do on the train?

I'm using the train a few times a month and 48 is not that bad at all. Not using EIR Broadband at home though.
