Car crash

Hi all yesterday the police arrive at the house too inform us that somebody crashed into our car which was parked on a public road. we didn’t witness it but they did And talked too the person who crashed into my car(I think they got there details too). I’ve being in contact with the police and I’m trying too get his driver…

Hi all
yesterday the police arrive at the house too inform us that somebody crashed into our car which was parked on a public road.
we didn’t witness it but they did And talked too the person who crashed into my car(I think they got there details too).
I’ve being in contact with the police and I’m trying too get his driver details but the guard won’t give me his details.
what should I do ???
this happened yesterday morning.
any advise would be great.
I’ve contacted my own insurance company anyway too let them know but won’t be claiming off my insurance.
