Booked my first solo staycation...any tips?

I plan to go away to Clare for 5 days in July solo...I would be comfortable travelling and staying on my own, I know a lot of people have taken city breaks in Europe on their own..just wondering if anyone has "staycationed" solo and would they have any tips/advice? I'd imagine visiting a pub or restaurant on my own it…

Do some activity, book a surfing lesson or book a place on a hike, find a pub with a bit of trad music and few American tourists or else I would just take a load of books read, use the spa and pool in the hotel and just chill.
