Expanding existing PV setup

I have existing setup with 12 panels on one slope but I do get good amount of sun on the other opposite one in the evenings. This got me thinking that I could expand my setup by adding more panels I could fit another 5-6 depending on the size. I have one free MPTT input on the inverter side the only question is about the max voltage that inverter can take. Anyone has tried to expand their existing setups?
