Want to upgrade alarm panel.

My home intruder alarm is a wired HKC SecureWatch . Installed over 20 yrs ago. I want to upgrade to a panel that is compatible with a phone app so I can control the panel remotely. I want keep the wired installation. What panels/make should I consider. I have BB FTTH .

Thanks for that Altor. My existing panel has a GSM board, as originally I could get Text msgs to my mobile but Eircom (at the time) eliminated the service and I hven't used it since. I'm with Vodafone at the mo and my landline is now VOIP. Is it possible to fit an internet card to my SecureWatch panel.

The UTC panel has a Lan port which you can connect to your Broadband connection and have a free app for remote access and alarm activations to your phone using it. You can use a Wi-Fi connection if you use a Wi-Fi card but this does not come with the panel.

You could have it swapped out for the newer HKC panel then add a GSM/Wifi to get remote access.

This is a subscription service HKC provide.

Another option is a UTC panel which has a Lan port built in and a free connection using your wifi.

Please note with mains off then so is remote access unless you have a GSM installed.

It is but tbh its not worth it as the Securewatch systems are obsolete so you could add it and then run into issues with the alarm you have in place. Id recommend an upgrade to either of the above, whichever suits your needs more.

What do you mean by free wifi connection on the UTC panel. My understanding was there is always an interface service that is usually charged for.

The 1500 IP panel is the one with the Lan port built in

You could try the wholesalers, its very hard getting equipment at the moment.
