How are the queues at Cork Airport?

While the length of Cork's main runway 16/34 is probably not a constraint for short haul or lightly loaded long haul, its very limited taxiways curtail throughput as aircraft have to taxi up and down the main runway. This is far less of an issue in Dublin and Shannon. See attached maps:

The answer really is "What queues?". There just aren't any. 10 mins max for security really.

quick question..... have they the NEW X-ray equipment that allows all liquids and laptops to stay in your bag etc???? OR do I have to sort my liquids into a clear bag of 100 mls items etc??and present separately??

Nope, its old skool im afraid.

And airport staff have no problem letting 5 people re pack their bags on the rollers instead of taking it away to a table while everyone stands around waiting.

Hi .... on 09 June 2022.....YES can confirm the Liquids and Laptops etc must be taken out and presented separately. NO Body Scanners either ...just walk-thru metal detectors. Can be annoying alright as people put on their belt and watch and pack back in their deodorants live on the belt while your stuff is coming behind them.

To be fair the queues aren't ever long enough for it to make a difference, although it would be nice if they did. We're talking 10 minutes versus 5 at the worst of times.
