Best replacement network AMP ?

I have a Pioneer sx-n30, very happy with it as an Amplifier except for the iPhone App, which takes ages to connect, so I'm looking for something more modern with a decent iPhone app.

I mainly use it to play Internet Radio via TuneInn and also to play audio from a TurnTable and from TV via an Optical cable, any recommendations for a new network Amp ?

Denon have the excellent DRA800 priced at 699 Euro which adds in HDMI inputs to a stereo amp. So you could stop using the optical and connect your TV via HDMI (ARC)

Thanks for that, whats the advantage of using HDI over optical cable for TV?

What exactly is the "Moving Magnet phono stage", is it a pre amp for the phono connection?

Has anyone used the 2 apps that those Amps use, "HEOS" and "MusicCast CONTROLLER", what are they like?

HDMI can carry a higher bandwidth and gives a better audio quality over an optical cable.

A moving Magnet Phone Stage is basically just a pre amp input for connecting your turntable without the need for an external one. (Your turntable may already have a built in pre amp of its own). Not all turntable have this built in so an external or one built into the amp is required.

I have used both Apps and the Yamaha MusicCast is easier to navigate and looks slicker. However both work as they should and are easy enough to use.
