Moscow no longer accepts Switzerland as being neutral. Very interesting times

Since Neutral Switzerland Declared sanctions against Russia, Switzerland are not neutral for Moscow anymore.

Personally what I find most depressing about Boards these days is how this idiotic "bot" stuff, polarised "sides", and childish made up Twitter terms and labels has infested every decent thread.

America and it's nonsense has a lot to answer for in this respect. We're worse though for soaking it up like a sponge!

I meet my ex work mate today and spoke with him about social welfare.

He couldn't apply directly in office Because all forms has to be filled online and he did this over 1 month ago and still didn't get anything.

So we started thinking about why and what gonna happen next and here is some options which came to our heads.

He didn't get answer because system overloaded with number of Ukrainian refugees.

He didn't get answer because government simply avoid pay social welfare because there is "shortage" of work force and that how they trying make unemployment stats better forcing unemployed take any jobs.

Because landlord can't wait for rent this lad probably will have leave country because not getting social welfare.

Just no need cry about shortage of work force because people can't get social welfare and have leave country because has no money for crazy rent.

How system will manage with Winter flow of unemployed when Recession will hit at full and how badly will hit rental market ? If now people waiting for over month and still can't get social welfare?

This gona be very interesting situation when time will come.

Wonder whats the actual truth in China at the minute reports of full on Bank runs and people not allowed to take any money out all down to the Real Estate bubble seemingly popping.

I remember once being shown an ID registration form for Zurich from the late 1930s and one of the questions on it was asking if the applicant was of Aryan descent or not....has Switzerland ever been really neutral?

It used to take up to 6 weeks for claims to be processed. They all get backdated though from the day the person applied.

It is probably the most widely recognized neutral country, sent a few troops to Afghanistan and have been quite active in these economic sanctions. They have also publicly said they would follow others with sanctions against China if things went that way so who knows how others perceive it's position.

It does sound like it is more how they are perceived by other countries than anything actually set in stone. If others take a similar view it could effect Switzerland more in the finance sector than a military attack on them in the future.

Great to manufacturing investment outside of Dublin. I like to see these jobs being added as opposed to data centers that really only benefit during the 2-3 year construction phases.

Yup, that's the real deal, a big benefit to both areas - especially Donegal. Good job IDA or whoever.

I dunno, am I the only who thinks there is a legitimate Russian bot posting in this thread? Why else would there be an account writing multiple pro-Russian essays a day and posting tonnes of pro-Russian links on an Irish forum?

I can't imagine Ireland's Boards.ie would be a viable target. My suspicions lean more toward it being an Irish person behind it, as the English is perfect and then you'll get a randomly broken line. I can just imagine some eegit behind the screen phrasing everything vacally in an awful Russian accent and typing what he'd think that might look like.

I would concur with that statement but I would also say we have pro Democratic USA 'Bot' among us too. Darth Putin (says they are living in America) only created an account less than a month and seems to constantly denounce normal people posts on this forum that may depict anything that disagrees with the western globalistic ideologies and how over time they have created the divides we see today. If you were an American why would you be messaging on an Irish discussion group.

I think he’s genuine. The volume of the posts just turns people off the thread and then you are left with him and his followers posting really fringe stuff with no pushback.

Ultimately he’s giving a side of an argument and hasn’t really gone over the edge of unacceptable posting in my opinion, he’s come close with the Irish people being subsistence farmers before the Eastern Europeans came to save us with their unique skills and intelligence and now that they are apparently leaving we will all soon return to working the field. The implications there are pretty xenophobic but he hasn’t come right out and said what he is implying so what can you do?

I met a Lithuanian once that had the exact same opinion of Irish people.....they were all complete morons in his opinion..everything/literally everything was better in Lithuania.....it seems to be a thing with some people

A Canadian I knew was more selective, as far as he was concerned all irish girls were very unattractive, fat, covered in fake tan and really didn't make flattering choices when it came to ski pants etc 🤣.......I was highly amusing when his girlfriend came to visit....you couldn't meet a more neurotic ocd and completely artificial fake looking woman but I suppose love is blind!

Maybe some people need to feel superior to get up in the morning and they will convince themselves they are come hell or high water.

Reminds me of paddies pining for the emerald Isle in Boston, Chicago etc years ago. Making a fortune over there n left a subsistence farm in the west when they were 16. Dreaming of back working in the bog!

Know a Lithuanian fella the same, everything better back there. I asked does the government over there pay hap for housing+ welfare while he potters away on a ce scheme n does his nixers- apparently not!

    Will ya feck off

I clearly stated that I am travelling (for work) across dozen states over an extended period and there is not only any signs of recession in US but quite the opposite

now get back to your “learning English comprehension 101” classes on Konsomolskaya Road comrade

there is a deliberate campaign from Russia to make Europeans give up on support for Ukraine by spreading doom and gloom and deflecting from crimes of dear leader and his horde of barbarians

it takes a special kind of person to not only support these posters but further their nefarious propaganda

Ukraine starting QE as promised funds are held up. Once the currency reaches parity with the rouble it is curtains. Well even bigger curtains than it is already.

Yeah that's called home sickness and is common enough. Some people never fully get over it and can be living abroad for decades but still feel the strong pull of home. Lying at the beach on a hot summer's day in donegal it is not hard to see why someone would miss it when they have to return to the concrete hot house of London. They forget about the endless rain in the winter.

Okay sorry if I offended you by think you were some pro yank commenting on this site.

Let me get this clear I am absolutely not in favour of Russia, their invasion of Ukraine and or China or any of the other countries that support them. Not one of my statements on Boards has ever being pro Russia so I don't know where you get that impression.

My main gripe (which is evident throught my posts) is the globalist agendas and how they have being the creation of the overall mess we are in today. Unsustainble cheap credit by central banks in order to chase GPD can not be the answer going forward. Negative real terms interest rates is not sustainable.

Darth Putin is bot.If somebody would like check it take a pause and watch him as object in zoo.I took pause just to watch him.And will take again .

    Now about media manipulating .

Gas storages are filled by xxx per cent. You are not getting information about name, size of storage and for how long gas from there will enough . Because as we know winter can be short, long, cold or warm. And we are not getting information about for how long this storage was supplying gas last winter because at same time gas was still pumping into storage.

Price for gas been paid for gas which been sent to storage. We are not getting any information about price for gas been paid.

Now I taking pause to watch bot Darth Putin.

    He will attack me now.
