Sheep and parasites

Hi lads, not a farmer here but can I pick your brains, please ?

Currently buying a rural house with a couple of acres and at the mo the land is being grazed by sheep.

I'll be wanting to keep the horse on the same pasture but I'm bothered about worms. I've tried google but I'm getting conflicting information from it.

So, generally speaking, what parasites do sheep have that can be transmitted to horses ? Will I have to treat the pasture before horse goes on it ? If so, what do I put on it and how ? Also, how long are parasite eggs/larvae likely to remain viable, as in do I have to treat it in a cycle.

    Thanks.
