Due to Bloom and all that that goes with it there is little or no parking at the kids playground,its a public park ,OPW dont want anyone in the park with a car,but when a group pays for it they will accept the funds,probably more concerts on the way too. Gridlock here we go again.

Bloom and events are usually nuts.

Stick to other parks for the duration I reckon. Lots more have playgrounds these days.

There's a good looking playground in St. Anne's park, Lucan. Was there recently for the first time, nice looking spot and decent amount of parking.

There is 1 in St Annes too 😄 It's actually a very decent playground too.

The Playground is tyrrelstown park is very good and there are nice walks around the park - not as nice as St. Catherines but handy for a lot of people.

I don't think anyone gets it, we cycle to our local playground, we can't anymore because it's been leased out to private enterprise by the OPW. These other playgrounds are out of our range.

There's a playground in Ashtown in Crescent park. Not as nice as the Phoenix Park, but it's still a decent playground. It's less than a ten minute cycle from the main Phoenix Park Playground:53.37586888700338, -6.324395796073685

Train trip out to the playground in Maynooth is another solid option if you're cycling in the area (lock the bikes at the train station).

What about the Beechfield Park playground in Clonsilla? I've been there a few times with my nephews (4 & 3) and they love it. There's not much else aside from the car park, a very short wlk around the green area and a view of the train as it goes nearby but if it's just the play ground you want it's ok. Never very busy either.
