I generally find foreign girls are better looking, and more appreciative of decent qualities, compared to Irish ones.

I'd say that around half my male Irish friends from university ended up married to non-Irish women

At 54, he should consider meeting women, rather than girls. And if all the ones he's been meeting so far have the same kind of issues, there's no reason to believe that the non-Irish ones won't be similar, albeit with sexier accents and an initial air of mystique about them.
