Alexa Routine not recognising smart socket

Was creating a routine on Alexa to turn specific lights off and others on at bed time. On the Alexa app the bulbs were recognised and added to the routine but three smart plugs didnt come up as an option under 'Smart Home' when creating the routine. The smart plugs work through Alexa by voice command, they are Zigbee enabled and connected to the Alexa app via the Smart Life app, the same way the bulbs are. Wondering why they are not coming up as an option when Im setting up a routine, are smart sockets excluded or something?
