I know at least two of my neighbours are into it. It's a minefield do. Where do you even start?

Do you know anyone into it if you are not?

I got .02 of a bitcoin for free in 2011. Should have bought a 100 quids worth back then, would be a millionaire now.

Lots of crypto currencies are tumbling now.

Basically a bit of text stored on "De blockchain" (using a bit of p2p software similar to bitcoin) that states you are De Owner of a certain jpeg of a monkey with SHITE written on his cap.

The inner clique of NFTers sell NFT's among themselves at exorbitant prices in order to drive more buyers into the pyramid scheme in an attempt to "fake it till it's real". The NFT scene is now also collapsing.

Ah NFTs = Non Fungible Tokens lol.

A non-fungible token is a financial security consisting of digital data stored in a blockchain, a form of distributed ledger. The ownership of an NFT is recorded in the blockchain, and can be transferred by the owner, allowing NFTs to be sold and traded.

So make sense of that then.

It's a Bad time to buy digital currencys, many are down 50 to 90 per cent, some bloke bought a tweet, nft for 2 million it's now worth 2k.i think 90 per cent digital coins are hype, insiders buying from each other to increase the price and sell to the next dumb buyer comes along. Its like poker if you don't know who the mark is at the table then it's you. The people who are pushing nfts or some weird digital coin are employed in fintech firms or maybe rich tech bro, s I'm not a expert but at least bitcoin has a limited amount of coins that can be made. If you remember when the matt damon if you had bought bitcoin for 1000 it's now worth 500 euros . Tech firms are freezing hiring or letting some staff go. I think most digital coins are very useful for oligarchs or hackers who need to some to transfer money without going thru a bank. I think nfts are like Facebook meta, no one knows if they are just a fad the next beany baby's that, ll be worth nothing in a years time , you are just buying a link to a URL in the block chain that says Joe blogs owns this

Jpeg cartoon image that you could sell to someone else maybe.

I think crypto is not a good investment but I understand alot of people made alot of money buying bitcoin when it was only worth 5 dollars and now its worth 1000,s

Just Google news falling digital currency and you'll get lots of news about the whole crypto network system falling apart or losing value

Or Google crypto pump and dump schemes

Well, technically that’s a good time to invest. Buy low, sell high. The question is, will they go high again, or are there further lows to come?

So what do you think is going to happen next and how come we never hear of it in the mainstream news media?

Oh, I’ve no idea. I know virtually nothing about cryptocurrency. I should have been clearer: I didn’t mean that now is a good time to invest in crypto. I meant that prices being low in itself isn’t a reason not to invest in a particular investment in the very general sense. The bit you need to bet on, in any investment, is whether they’ll rise again. That’s the chance you take. I’ve no idea if any of the various cryptos will rise again or fall further.

As for why you don’t hear about it in the MSM, I can’t comment. But I wouldn’t necessarily be waiting for an article in the Irish Times to tell me what to invest in for my pension. If you want specialist news, go to a specialist source.
