Why don't MTU provide updated parchments for previous CIT students

Recently Munster Technological University was formed and it seems Cork Institute of Technology no longer exists. MTU is handing out transcripts for previous students headed in MTU paper. The old CIT website is rebranded without explanation which looks risky. For someone that doesn't know about Cork or Munster a parchment from CIT looks potentially fraud.

I don't think this belongs in Feedback, for starters!

There are loads of third level institutions that have morphed, or upgraded themselves, or joined up with others, or changed names over the years - I have a postgrad diploma from DIT, which no longer exists - most of the techs around the country are now universities from what I can see. I've never heard of any of them reissuing certs.

You received your cert/diploma/ whatever from CIT - that's a fact, can't be changed.

Feedback was the only reasonable option I had. I have been held by immigration due to this. My transcripts have no mention of Cork Institute of Technology but rather Munster Technological University. Its confusing when going overseas. I don't understand the reason they won't provide updated parchments. Basically a statement from MTU stating I got a qualification from CIT on such a date and then sealed with the date its issued. The whole thing is confusing when dealing with people that don't know what is going on. The CIT qualification does now look like fraud.

No, it wasn't since this clearly has nothing to do with feedback on boards.ie

A far more reasonable option was the CIT forum:
