Late try for La Rochelle ffs

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,212 ✭✭✭ClanofLams

Gloucester defeated with 78th min try by La Rochelle.

Glaws had a penalty five yards from tryline in the middle of the pitch when a man up with ten to go. Opted to take three. Easy to say now of course but think they had to go for the kill there.

I think I saw it mentioned in this thread before - is the Leinster Leicester game locked in for next Friday already now? Or are next weekend's fixtures still up in the air?

I'm wondering when the tickets will go on sale, they'll presumably want to get them selling ASAP if they want to fill the Aviva on less than a week's notice.

    Leinster v Leicester

    Exeter v Stormers

I'd say fixtures should be out tomorrow evening after last match. Challenge Cup fixtures already out. 1 game on Friday night, 3 games on Saturday.

That's still 7k more than the RDS can hold, and it's been said that prep for Bruce Springsteen has already started.

Hope the weather is better on Friday. It would be hard to motivate a lot of the people who got soaked out of it yesterday to come watch Leicester.

Friday 8pm apparently. With capacitiy initially limited to 27,000 (the upper tier will be closed) but they'll review that if ticket sales exceed expectations.

Will be interesting to see if they have any promotional price tickets like they usually do for Aviva games now, if the upper tier isn't open. Thats usually where the promotional tickets are.

I know it’s Good Friday, but you’d imagine an 8pm kick off might make it difficult for people from outside Dublin to attend this.

There were a good amount of Ulster fans contributing to the full house yesterday too.

Zach Mercer is just such a good player.

Will surely be the England No8 by the RWC.

    Not over yet begob!

Thats some Keystone Cops game management from Montpellier you'd have to say.

What a finish to this match

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,829 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Exeter have bottled this game magnificently. A three point lead against 14 men with 60 seconds to go and an attacking scrum in Montelliers 22. They knock on and four minutes later Montellier draw a penalty to even up the score.

    On to extra time.

Absolutely super score from Montpellier there, great carries and speed for so late into Extra Time.

26-33 and all the momentum with the French.

What a finish and hammer blow for Montpellier.

Exeter go through on tries scored after leveling match with last minute try & conversion

Montpellier extremely unlucky to go out on tries scored. A great performance by them especially after the red card
