Amazon Spain > Addresspal > Customs to be paid when forwarding to Ireland??

If I buy something in Amazon spain that won't deliver to Ireland but will to Addresspal. Will I get hit by customs?

Yes, you will as the package will leave the EU, and then be shipped back in by An Post. Is there nowhere else in the EU you can get the item? Or find the shipper Spain that will send it to you direct?

yes, because addresspal is in the uk and that is outside of the EU.

Of course it will incur customs charges. You're sending it to the UK and then importing into the EU. Are Amazon shipping to the UK but not Ireland?

Yup, amazon is the actual seller and all but wont deliver it here for some reason.

@FFVII on the Amazon page find the ASIN number in "Additional Information" info and then enter it in the search of https://www.hagglezon.com/ it will search all the Amazon sites in the EU and compare prices, you can just enter text but the ASIN is the exact product

Amazon will pay UK tax and duty and charge you accordingly.

Addresspal will then charge you vat & duty (item over €150 and depending on country) + delivery fee from UK to Ireland.

If they can ship it to Northern Ireland there are services there that will accept it and then ship it to you or you can collect from them

Once it's in NI it has free movement in the EU.

It's a bit like the southerners buying coal. They must arrange the delivery, in this case it's arranged with the same place that is taking delivery from Spain for you.

That little extra step effectively makes it permitted
