Architect Plans vs Driveway - Extending Paved area

So I've full planning that includes a new driveway which must provide space for two cars to park. It has a grass border on the plans.

A suggestion I received since is to pave the whole front garden - it would have the same 5m width dishing to join to the estate road but just be all concrete behind that with NO grass. Does that present problems with the planning permission as granted or will anyone object? Thanks!

You most likely required permeable paving in order to comply with the suds and ‘or drainage requirements.

Concrete would be a no. The brass strips are designed to allow for natural soakage.

Permeable paving right up to the house foundation is considered risky isn't it? Any guidance I've seen recommends against this. It's more suited to commercial parking and long driveways. There's grass up to the house now but permeable paving would change the drainage characteristics and possible undermine the foundations. At least that's what I'd fear?

Not necessarily. If you think about it - there's no difference between grass and permeable paving with regards to their impact on the foundations.

There are construction details though that the designer should consider.

You would not have permeable paving right up to the foundation, not sure i'm understanding what you mean here?

I've had permeable paving on all my driveways over the years, Tobermore for example.

So the front wall of the house would meet the paved area as you look down from above. I planned on having an ACO drain between the edge of the paved area and the house wall but as it's on a slight slope towards the house, I was worried about that point where Type 3 meets ACO meets House? Thanks.
