    2016 Mercedes cla 180 1.4 petrol

    105k on the clock

Bought the car in August, absolutely no issues with it

Was due my first service and got it done Friday (4pm) drove 10 minutes home then

    Mechanic was closed yesterday,

first time driving yesterday since service ,

after 1 hour the car went into like limp mode, (no abs)

all warnings lights on including engine light are on,

Also system inoperative message on dash

Any idea what the issue maybe ?

Or what should I say to the mechanic ?

Surely it's related to the service ?

Or an awful coincidence of timing?!?

    Any help greatly appreciated

    This is what was done

Don't try to drive the car.

Phone the mechanic asap and explain the symptoms.

It may have something to do with the service or may not so don't get off to a confrontation.

You just need him to come to your place and diagnose the problem.

What adjustment needs to be done on a 2016 braking system? That list of work done looks very generic.

Jargon I reckon, maybe handbrake shoes if that car uses them?

As another poster said don't drive the car, ring when you can and just say car went into limp mode shortly after the service if you'd mind having a look at it.

Don't be confrontational, but it is more likely that these issues are related to the service than very coincidental, the only actual work carried out was the engine oil and filter change, it's possible that the engine oil wasn't filled to the required capacity which would for sure throw the car into limp mode to protect the engine from catastrophic damage.

Could also be either the oil drain plug or filter cap wasn't tightened properly or over tighened and developed a slow leak, which could explain why it was only after 1 hour it threw a light on the dash. I think those Mercs have plastic oil filter housing caps that love to warp and leak if they are even slightly overtightened.

Don't mean to frighten you OP I'm just spitballing
