does anyone here have any experience of this system ?
I know it s expensive but looks ideal for rough grazing over a large area
I'd normally be all for this type of technology but at the moment it's hard to beat the value and reliability of a decent solar fence unit for rough grazing.
The https://www.nofence.no/en-gb/ website says to put a collar on all adult animals and train them, but I find young stock most likely to find ways out of a paddock. Battery life would also be a concern if no handling facilities near this rough grazing. I think it would be better suited to a dairy operation and more within their budget too.
Was thinking of doing this no fence craic with 2 or 3 goats, for tidying up around passages, driveways and a wee garden. Would it work or is it a silly thought, I don't know.
Could be too small of an area, you'd want to check with them. The "line" is more of a depth than a fine line type border.
No experience but it's what is used on the wild Irish goats at Howth I believe.
