Hi, the same question what do you think about this area to live?

Yes it’s a decent area but there are fire defects with those apartments & the owners have been told recently they each need to pay €15,000 to repair fire safety defects in the development.

Will the bank even give a mortgage on these with the defects?

Depends whether or not they still have buildings insurance. I understand OMC is paying considerably extra for insurance but not sure if this would satisfy banks needs. In general a solicitor will not sign off on a building which is missing a fire cert, so if they haven't resolved fire safety issues in that block, likelihood is no.

It's within the Applewood area. Wouldn't be great if I'm honest- dodgy enough. Certainly not my number 1 choice- perhaps Holywell in swords?? I live in an adjacent estate.
