Women’s and some men’s fascination with the lid being put down in the toilet

Can anyone enlighten me what exactly it’s about as it doesn’t take much effort to put the seat down before use? Also what exactly does putting the lid down do as the water is clean after the flush?

I never put the seat down. I squat when taking a dump. (Meaning I hover over the toilet rather than sitting on it.)

Lid or seat?

Seat - should be up for men as they can't seem to not spray everywhere.

Lid - should be down as the flush sends droplets flying everywhere out of the pissy bowl.

Both or either. Droplets everywhere? What if you took a dump and clogged it? You’d leave a surprise for the next user.

Nah, you are taking the weight on your calf muscles. Plus a dump usually only takes a few minutes.

I live alone and worked for home for the 2 years of Covid lockdowns etc. Meaning I was always the ‘next user.

A bucket of water into the toilet bowl usually clears the clogging, might require a few attempts. Just don’t misjudge and overflow the bowl.

Clearing the blockage with a clothes hanger or using your hand in a bin bag should be seen as the last resort.

An old brush handle would surely be better than the bin liner. But you are lucky to have no one to complain if you don’t put the lid down.

Maybe. The bag works because you can just turn it inside out and use it as a bin bag after.

That includes time to wipe my posterior when done, just in case it is needed. Plus I prefer not to wait until the brown trout becomes a turtles head before releasing it, so sometimes a little coaxing is required. It all adds up.

If 5 guys take a wizz prior to the next female user, that's 5 people unnecessarily touching the seat. Very relevant in a Covid world. If you need the seat down you should put it down. Very simple.

I think a bigger problem is guys who think they have brilliant aim and are too lazy to put the seat up.

I would strongly recommend NOT putting the lid down before use. Whatever you do after is up to you 😁

^ Try adding Prunes to your diet if hard poos are a regular occurrence. It will save on the electricity bill also. 😆
