Need help with transition between laminate and tile

    I'm trying to figure out how to do the transition between laminate and tile flooring in my kitchen. My idea is to keep the existing laminate floor up to the back of the peninsula (see picture), then tile the rest.

    My question is what kind of beading/trim would be best? I'm going to need a reducer between the laminate and the tile, but what about at the back of the peninsula? I'd prefer to have a single type of trim along the entire length, but I'm not sure if that's going to be possible if I need to use a reducer on one part only (i.e the tiled part)?

    Use the same trim along the length if you wish, just half of it will be up against the peninsula. A good floor supplier will sort you out with something similar.

    Or use a short transition bar at the floor join and a piece of beading to match the units along the peninsula.
