Hi, I have a very simple html css website with no analytics or enquiry forms - hosted on shared hosting with Blacknight. A Cookie scanner is telling me my site is using no cookies? Can this be the case? Does a web browser not take information about a visit? Just want to know what is the basic data my website might be…

Hi,
I have a very simple html css website with no analytics or enquiry forms - hosted on shared hosting with Blacknight.
A Cookie scanner is telling me my site is using no cookies?
Can this be the case? Does a web browser not take information about a visit?
Just want to know what is the basic data my website might be taking from visitors without me knowing...

If your website does not require stateful information to be recorded between page loads, user authentication or user tracking then there is no need for cookies. It would be pretty old school for a website not to have some sort of analytics but not unheard of.
