It's probably just the datalogger that's lost connection. I used to have problems like that all the time until I got a wifi mesh system in the house. Issue was more to do with the router's wifi signal not being strong enough in the attic than the data logger itself.

    thanks

did it re-connect on its own or did it need a re-boot

it tries to reconnect itself vut you can just unplug it and plug it back. If it does not reconnect than with your laptop/phone search for new open access point and try to connect to wifi stick, maybe it has lost settings.

I had to go up to the attic and actually point the antenna towards my router. Never lost connection since, so yeah you're probably having WiFi range issue

It used to come back eventually but sometimes I went up to the attic and just unplugged it from the inverter for a second and then put it back in.

    thanks

it has come back on line, so it is obviously a connection issue

    Hi

is you WIFI working (sometimes it is something simple) other times it might crash if there is an update

what type of inverter do you have, it may be easier to go directly to the manufacturer to find the issue

i have a SOLIS and have found their help line to be helpful and they responded reasonably quickly

    email address is euservice@solisinverters.com

they might be able to tell you what the issue is

It was just the wifi. Stupid me checked this last. Simply turned it on and off and everything went back to normal.

    I have this issue now

Wifi is on. I can see the datalogger in my app, but it's showing a status of offline (wifi mode). I can press the diagnose button. It tries to connect via Bluetooth and then tells me 'Bluetooth replies to an illegal data address's

Anybody got any ideas how to fix it?

I also tried pressing the datalogger reset button for 15 seconds. Yellow& green lights went out, then comeback on. Yellow stays on but green is blinking

Edit- for anybody else who experiences this issue.

Ok so I figured it out, but it's not as straightforward as it should be.

On service tab there is a tile called wifi configuration. Need to add the datalogger code there ( got that from Plant>Device>Datalogger). I used the Bluetooth connect. It took a couple of attempts (I might have been too close at the start..moved back a little and phone/datalogger eventually connected). Then it asked for wifi network & password....and then needed about 10 mins to sync up & down from cloud. But all good eventually.

There is an issue going on with Solis Cloud services.

My app times out all the time and everything is ultra slow from soliscloud.com.

Are you guys using the beta version of the HA API integration, only I have two inverters, one is standard API which appears to be updating every minute (I got the update time changed) and the other one using the beta API integration is like 10-15mins behind?

    I don't know. How would I check?

I'm fairly sure that mine only updates every 5-10 mins.
