are you experiencing FTA outages or problems ?

For the past month the FTA channels have been coming on and off for me. Usually off during the day and then coming back on in the late evening. Last three days nothing. I have a SAB triton iii box and tuned to Astra 28.2E . I get the saroview channels but all the UK ones showing no signal. Anybody else experiencing outages to the UK channels on FTA?

I looked it up and it seems a lot of UK residents are having outages with freeview denying anything is wrong.

There was some solar storm due on the 10-12th that was rumoured to possibly be able ot knock out some electronic devices like satellite tv and sat navs, should have passed by now.

If it's the same channels I'd say adjustment of the dish might be needed.

yikes, my days of climbing the ladder are behind me, I reckon its time to pick up a book and call a ladder savy satellite fella, I'll give it another few days and see what happens

Yes, sometimes just powering everything down and turning back on again might resolve. Try look if the cable is lose going from dish to back of receiver.

come to think of it we had some big winds last week that knocked down the neighbours "for sale" sign so maybe a cable was loose and finally let go , wouldn't that affect the saroview as well? they are still working fine and i've had my fill of RTE

FreeView is the UK terrestrial service using a normal aerial and nothing to do with satellite. If you are missing satellite channels and no one else here is screaming blue murder, it's a fairly safe bet it's something in your setup.
