Parcel held by an post for customs inspection

    Weird issue (maybe) I've had a package held by An Post pending customs inspection since the 3rd of March. Is this common, apparently Dept of Agriculture & Marine have to inspect it which seems odd to me. In any case it's a hell of a long time. Anyone had a similar issue and if so did they receive the package. I've given up on this one at this stage

    It depends on what you ordered on it getting through or not. There is plenty of stuff that you can order online that is illegal here.

    The only part of our civil/public service that is efficient is Revenue. The rest can be extremely bad and COVID is not helping.

    It depends on what it was. It may have been seized or destroyed.

    It mobile phone accessories, cover and glass screen protectors which is why I can't understand why Agriculture are holding it, maybe it was mislabeled but a month seems like a long time. Is it normal to destroy packages without informing the reciepient.
