    Hi,

my understanding of qualifying for the HTB scheme was the funds/tax rebate given could be used as part of your 10% deposit. I’m attempting to buy a home (I have mortgage approval) but the property management have said the HTB can be only be used to take from the full value of the new home.

example : 300k home, 30k HTB, purchase of the house is now 270k. Deposit is 27k

is this standard practice or isolated to the property company or building contractors ?
